We started the morning with a new idea: 100 push-ups every video. Next thing you know, the whole team’s on the floor, John’s one rep away from winning $1,000, and the day’s already off the rails.
From there, it was nonstop deals. We inspected a buyback, showed off an 800-horsepower R8, bought back a car from a loyal customer, and even had a guy from Baltimore buy the whole dealership lunch because his experience was “flawless.”
In the middle of all that, my YouTube account gets HACKED and someone starts streaming a fake Trump crypto scam off my channel. My Youtube channel is my most valuable asset outside of the dealership, and losing it was a gut punch I wasn’t expecting. The worst part is that it was out of my control. The execs at Youtube were non responsive for the first week, and I had to call in every favor possible to get it back.
It took me two weeks, but I want to thank my friends and team for coming through. WE ARE BACK!
What’s On My Mind This Week: Price or Condition? Here's What Really Closes Deals
If you're buying a car, what's the first question you're asking? Let's say you pick up the phone to inquire. What is it?
For me, it's not the price. My first question is: How's the condition?
Here's the thing: when a salesperson tells me "it's good," that means it's bad. If I don't hear excitement or passion about the car's condition right off the bat, I'm not interested.
But when they're speaking with enthusiasm, like they've actually seen the car, walked around it, touched it? That's when I'm excited.
The same principle works when I'm buying cars from customers. You can hear it in someone's voice. When they say "you can eat off of it" or "it's absolutely brand new," you don't even need pictures. You already know. Sometimes people even try to tell me salvage cars are like brand new. Luckily, John regulates that for me.
Here's a story: One of my salespeople called me the other day, asking for a $1,000 discount on this immaculate 2021 M5. I said no. But then I told him to go stand in front of that car, call the customer, and describe what you see. Tell him this is one of the cleanest cars we've seen, and that you don't say this about every piece of inventory we get in.
He did. The customer bought the car.
It's one thing to buy a rare car. It's another thing to buy a rare car in excellent condition.
You can win deals, negotiations, and conversations by focusing on condition.
Price or condition? I'm going with condition every time.
Building Better Content: Finding the Hook in Every Conversation
I've been diving deep into YouTube lately. Building teams, studying analytics, looking at hard hooks, cutting down fluff.
Last week, I edited my first video with Mike, my videographer. His edit was 33 minutes. The beginning was rough. So I spent 3.5 hours fixing it up. We brought it down to 22 minutes, and afterwards it looked so much better.
Here's what I'm learning: You have to think about hooks. If you say something in casual conversation and think, "Oh wow, that's a hook," you need to be aware of that. Once you start noticing it more and more, you'll get better at finding hooks in daily life. You just gotta work that muscle.
When you're editing videos, you're just looking for the beginning and the end of the hook. You put those pieces together, and you've got something.
So here's my question for you: if you have lines I should be saying or questions I should ask customers on video? Reply back to this email with any suggestions.
Manifestation and Muscle
I've tried dieting about 10 times in the past five or six years. But this time feels different.
The past two years, my gut has been terrible. Getting sick, bloated, just not feeling good. I've been doing really well the past three or four weeks, and I don't see myself going back. I gotta take care of this damn gut and get back into shape. And I just had an epiphany.
People talk about manifesting all the time, but here's my point: manifestation is actually a muscle. The more you do something consistently, you're gonna have a moment where you see the light on the other side. You can see the outcome you're hoping for.
Manifesting is consistency aimed into the future. That's it.
People always ask me, "What are your 2026 goals?" I'm like, I don't know. I'm taking day by day. I don't look too far into the future. I just want to focus on operating the dealership and producing great content. I finally got my Youtube channel back after nearly losing it forever, and I am more determined than ever to deliver for my fans.
What We’re Buying Right Now
Tesla was my first real automotive obsession. Before the exotics, I was all-in on EV. I built this business buying and selling Teslas. Then I stepped away for a bit to dip my toe into the exotic world… and let’s be honest, I cannonballed in.
But lately? I’ve felt that pull back to where it all started. I’m refocused. Re-energized. Back in Tesla mode. And we’re buying aggressively.
1. Teslas (Top Priority), We are always looking for:
Model X
Model S Plaid
Cybertrucks
Clean, low-mile, fully loaded.
2. Exotics, I’m still in the exotic game, and still hungry for:
Lamborghini
Ferrari
McLaren Senna
Condition matters, always.
3. Our First Bugatti, We are still on the hunt for this one.
This is a milestone moment for us. If you’ve got one and you’re ready to move, reach out directly.
4. Luxury, We’re always picking up late-model luxury, especially:
All Mercedes AMG
Newer BMWs
If you’ve got any of these sitting in your garage, text or DM me. Let’s make it a win-win.
